Cooling by means of aluminum radiators of various electronic elements is a transfer of thermal energy (heat exchange) from a body with a higher temperature to a body with an average or lower temperature, most often this is the environment. Aluminum is used to make cooling profiles because it has low thermal resistance, is easily molded and has an acceptable price.

Parameters of radiators

• the temperature of the electronic element or system to be cooled;
• ambient temperature;
• the thermal conductivity of the aluminum profile;
• the shape of the aluminum profile;
• the way in which the aluminum profile is placed;
• good thermal contact between the surfaces of the electronic element and the radiator;
• the thermal conductivity of the silicone paste, if any;
• thickness of the insulation pad.
