Modern LED lighting offers efficiency, economy and comfort. LED bulbs offer savings of up to 8 times and over 20 times more than conventional bulbs, such as energy-saving or the common incandescent bulb. Another advantage of LED lighting is that they do not emit heat, only light, and we can also choose the color temperature in cool white, neutral white and warm white light respectively. The large selection of power, bulb sizes, as well as the large color temperature range from 2700K to 6500K allows the user to create comfort both at the workplace and at home.

LED lamps are an indispensable part of any lighting fixture. They can be standard socket type E27, E14 (candle type) which are suitable for any ceiling, table lamp, chandelier, G5.3, GU10 freckles, honestly used for suspended ceilings and decoration, as well as miniature capsule type G9 / G4, when we want to create an effect with directional light. Depending on the application, we can choose different FILAMENT decorative bulbs that imitate a flame, a candle and, in addition to lighting, can create a VINTAGE atmosphere. FILAMENT bulbs are extremely suitable for restaurants, taverns, cafes and various public establishments.

How to choose LED lighting?

When it comes to choosing a lamp, in addition to the application and the room, there are several things to keep in mind:

 

• Power - here it is necessary to take into account the power of the selected LED lamp, as well as the equivalent power for other types of lighting. For example, if the light bulb has a power of certain watts, this is only the amount of electricity it will use. The power of the light depends on the type of LED and the light flux it emits. For example, an LED bulb that is only 8W, in addition to being economical, has a luminous flux of over 800 lumens, which is equivalent to a 70W ordinary incandescent bulb.
• Plinth - another important factor when choosing LED lighting is the plinth. It can be of the most common Edison type (denoted by the Latin letter E - E27, E14) or two-pin (denoted by the Latin letter G - G9, G4). In addition to the type of socket, it is indicated by either the diameter or the distance between the pins, depending on the specific type.
• Color temperature - color temperature is measured with the Kelvin scale, which is divided into three main color zones: warm (from 1000K to 3000K), which are more yellow, neutral (from 3000K to 4000K), slightly white, and cold (over 4000K), which are white with a blue tint. To get an idea of the appropriate color temperature, it's good to keep in mind that daylight is over 6000K on this scale. Warm lights are usually used for restaurants or places of rest, so as not to irritate the eyes, and cold lights in a work environment, when light is of great importance.
• Luminance - the luminance represents the total amount of light that the lamp will emit, the smaller the value, the less the amount of emitted light. For example, with the most popular LED lamp of 8W, there is an illumination of 820 lm.
• DurabilityWith LED lighting and bulbs in particular, the duration is measured in working hours. Modern LED lamps average about 20,000 to 30,000 h.
• Dimmability - if you want to be able to dim the lighting of the LED lamp you buy, you should check if the model you choose supports this option. If you use an LED lamp that does not support this function, you risk damaging it.
