LITE-ON company is renowned with its high quality consumer electronics including: LED diodes, semiconductors, monitors, motherboards, DVD and DC drives and other electronic components. The company produces and automotive electronics, electronic switches, etc.. LITE-ON began its history in 1975 by former employees of the Texas Instrument in Taiwan. Gradually, the company has grown to an international corporation with independent and semi-independent branches and production units. In 1983 the company has listed themselves on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

 

Today, the modern production of the company is involved in manufacturing of computer components such as optoelectronics (together with Philips), LCD monitors, network devices, modems, chassis, keyboards, power supplies and more. From 2010 LITE-ON  produced and DVD discs for the Xbox 360.
