BSR Controls is a South African company that mainly produces thyristor blocks. Their devices are widely used in harsh and dangerous environments in the production of iron and steel, ports and mines, where the devices must not only withstand high temperatures, but also continuous high voltage spikes in the network, which could be the cause of pulse transformer failure.

Each manufactured unit of the company's products is tested twice: once before encapsulation and once after encapsulation.
