Packet switches are used to start and stop loops with high nominal currents. Used in industry and automation.

The normal implementation is used to switch two, three or four wire circuits. Special circuit breakers have been developed which incorporate certain connection circuits and which are used to control electric motors, electric guns or other consumers.
