Indicator lamps or visual signaling lamps are lighting fixtures that are widely used in everyday life, industry and technology. Signal lamps serve for information notification, through light signaling of work processes, accidents, changes in the operating status of devices, information about the normal operation of various electrical appliances and devices.
As a light source, indicator lamps can signal a problem, the beginning, end or progress of an information and technical process. They can be both a standalone lighting fixture and part of another electrical device, depending on the application.
When signaling indicator lamps are part of an electrical appliance or device, they can be miniature glow lamps, neon lamps or LED diodes. LED indicator lamps have a very long life and low consumption, which makes them convenient and inexpensive. They can be built into electrical appliances, in panels as part of the electrical system, in specialized panels.
Indicator light lamps come in different colors, the most common being green, yellow, red, orange, which are standard for various technical operations. The standard ones for the start and progress of work in green or blue, yellow for accidents and specialized operations and red for the end of a given operation or indication of a serious problem. Indicator lights are the fastest, most economical and safest way to signal and transmit information in a closed system.
