The infrared thermometer is used for non-contact measurement of hard-to-reach places and objects or those with a high temperature that does not allow close, physical contact. It is most often used in the control of temperature values in heating equipment, furnace, fireplace, stove, oven.
When choosing an infrared thermometer, the parameter D:S must be taken into account (distance to spot) Example: in this case we have a gun with D:S 8:1, which means that if we measure an object at a distance of 8 m, the spot that the thermometer will measure will be 1 m, so the device will give us an average value of the temperature of the measured "spot".
The thermometer measures surface temperature with an accuracy of 1.5%. Match its intended use with this deviation value.
The thermometer is not suitable for measuring human body temperature.
