Knipex® is a German tool company founded in 1883 by Carl Gustav Puch Kronenberg, Germany. The original enterprise began as the forge, where it focused on the creation of working tongs for forges and clamps for various types of machinery. In 1972, they already had over 27 employees and were producing 7,000 pliers per week. In 1942, the Knipex® brand was created as a trademark and registered. In 1954, the company was managed from within by the founder of the company, who as an engineer played a key role in the development of the product base. He is the creator of innovations in professional tools such as the adjustable VIK model Alligator pliers in 1973 and Cobra in 1984, and in 1988. creates a Cobolt model that helps to handle with 20 times less hand strength. To date, Knipex® are the world machine leaders in the manufacture and distribution of hobbyist and professional tools.
