Benefits of LED tubes

LED (light emitting diode) tubes are convenient replacemtn for standard fluorescent tube T5 and T8. Tey have standard size and shape that makes them easy to fit in almost any type of luminaire designed for old type luminescent tubes. Installation and applications of LED tube lights

Practically LED tubes do not require any maintenance and are very suitable for installation in hard-to-reach areas. Thanks to their standard size and shape, they can be mounted, quickly and easily, in any luminaire using ordinary luminescent tubes. This is a great advantage as it helps to save extra money, especially if you have old, available lighting bodies. LED tube can be single-ended and double-ended to electrical network. Please, make sure you chose the appropriate producrt. We offer LED tube with power of 9W, 18W and 24W. Their lenght is respectively 600mm, 1200mm and 1500mm.

IMPORTANT! Please keep in mind that if you have decided to use old luminaires for luminiscent tube, they must be converted in order to be used without accidents. For this purpose, please contact a qualified electrician to perform the reprocessing.

If you have any concerns, then choose ready-made luminaires designed specifically for LED tubes that are pre-wired and have no starters and ballasts. Another advantage of LED tubes is that if they stop working properlu, they can be replaced by new ones so this way you do not have to change the whole lighting body which is comfortable and practical.

LED tubes do not require additional starter equipment such as  ballasts, starters or any power supplies because they are designed to work with standard operating voltage 220-240VAC.

How to choose color temperature?

The choice of light color is a strictly individual solution for each client and project, but LED tubes in the cold spectrum (6500K) are generally preferred because they glow brightly and the light is slighly blue. They are mainly used for basic lighting in warehouses, retail outlets, workshops, industrial buildings, hospitals, and offices. Recently LED tubes  in neutral spectrum (4200K) have gained popularity offering natural or so-called "daylight". They are very suitable for basic lighting in all room and space types. LED tubes which glow in the warm spectrum of 3000K emit soft and warm white light and are suitable for home areas or for sensitive eyes.

Additional information

Please, keep in mind that when using LED tubes to replace luminous ones, all starters must be switched off or removed! It is advisable to hire a qualified technician for installation and disassembly in order to avoid risks. All LED tubes offered by VIKIWAT have a 24-month warranty period.
