Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is a Japanese manufacturer of electronic components, based in Nagaokakyo, Kyoto. Murata has a variety of electronic products, ranging from communication and wireless modules to power supplies. The company is also known for the production of prefabricated components and RF filters based on various processing technologies such as thin film, thick layer and LTCC (low temperature co-fired ceramics). This includes monolithic ceramic capacitors, multilayer ceramic devices, chip inductors, SAW filters, crystal filters, LC filters, ceramic resonators and more. Murata conducted research on new technologies related to radio frequency components, which led him to acquire many patents. Murata holds several patents and patent applications for technologies related to ceramic capacitors.
