Axial industrial fan VS-2E-400TM with grille, supply voltage 230 VAC with power 460 W, working opening 400 mm and flow 6480 m3/h. It is possible to reduce the fan flow rate with a properly selected frequency controller.
Axial fans are used when a big air flow is needed. Thanks to their low noise level they can be placed in ventilation shafts and air ducts in industrial halls and public buildings. When you choose a fan, it’s important that its characteristics correspond to the fan’s application.
The fan shouldn’t work in places where a vacuum may occur (for example if the fan suctions the air into a room without enough incoming air flow). Thus the air won’t be sufficient for the electric motor cooling and the thermal protection will work, preventing damage to the fan.
The fan speed can be adjusted with frequency inverter or phase controller. Please, have in mind that the speed decrease should be no more than ¼ from the nominal speed. If the speed drops off under 75%, the noise level decreases slightly but the fan motor cooling drops and that can lead to its damage. The fan can’t be powered by a DC/AC inverter with modified sine wave as this will damage it.
