What is a magnifying glass?

Magnifiers are optical instruments that have a biconvex lens designed to observe small objects. There are magnifiers of different designs designed for different purposes.

• Stand Magnifiers - In this type of magnifier, the magnifying lens is mounted on a leg, thus the distance between the lens and the observed object is fixed.
• Head magnifiers / magnifying glasses - These are magnifying glasses or magnifiers that are placed on glasses. There are different models for different observations.
• Digital Magnifiers - Digital magnifiers, also called video magnifiers, are used to magnify an image as it is captured by cameras. Digital magnifiers can be hand held in front of the camera or mounted on the camera.
