History
Logitech was founded in 1981 in Switzerland and quickly became a major market leader. Initially, they mainly developed wireless technologies and in 1984 the first wireless computer mouse using an infrared sensor.
Product development and expansion
In 1985, René Summer developed a microprocessor for standard wired computer mice, which increased the sensitivity and response to human actions. Later, he created the first mouse with 3 buttons.
In 1988, Logitech created the first trackball control devices, and later in 1989, they created and patented the Multiscope Debugger software for OS/2, DOS and Windows 3.0.
