History

Logitech was founded in 1981 in Switzerland and quickly became a major market leader. Initially, they mainly developed wireless technologies and in 1984 the first wireless computer mouse using an infrared sensor.

Product development and expansion

In 1985, René Summer developed a microprocessor for standard wired computer mice, which increased the sensitivity and response to human actions. Later, he created the first mouse with 3 buttons.

In 1988, Logitech created the first trackball control devices, and later in 1989, they created and patented the Multiscope Debugger software for OS/2, DOS and Windows 3.0.

Today, Logitech is a world leader in computer peripherals, and in particular in devices for work and play. They focus on convenience and quality in the production of various computer mice, keyboards, joysticks and all kinds of components that make us part of the virtual world.
