Axial industrial fan VI-2E-250 with grille and plate, supply voltage 230 VAC with power 130 W, working opening 250 mm and flow 1850 m3/h. It is possible to reduce the fan flow rate with a properly selected frequency regulator.
Axial fans are used when high flow rates are required. Low operational noise is an advantage when placed in ventilation shafts or ducts in industrial halls or public buildings. It is important, when choosing this type of fan, to take into account its characteristics so that they correspond to the particular application.
The fan shouldn’t work in places where a vacuum may occur (for example if the fan suctions the air into a room without enough incoming air flow). Thus the air won’t be sufficient for the electric motor cooling and the fan will be damaged.
The fan speed can be adjusted with frequency inverter or phase controller. Please, have in mind that the speed decrease should be no more than ¼ from the nominal speed. If the speed drops off under 75%, the noise level decreases slightly but the fan motor cooling drops and that can lead to its damage. The fan can’t be powered by a DC/AC inverter with modified sine wave as this will damage it.
